Reflecting back on our mini European tour, I realized that what I love about Europeans is that they don’t sweat the small stuff. But the carefree attitude does not affect their quality of life. In contrast, everything from outerwear to personal care to foods they prepare seem to have an air of high class and glamor.
It appears that the key to such balance is that they aim for quality over quantity. Maybe that is the secret to their waistlines too.
Here is the example of the super simple European breakfast idea that would be good for Saturday or any other morning of the week.
- Variety of fruits (apples, pears, tangerines, peaches…)
- Fresh bread or croissants
- Butter (I like organic butter–tastes better somehow)
- Hard boiled eggs
- Coffee or better yet cappuccino
For enhanced ambiance serve outside on a white tablecloth with your favorite music playing in the background to get that European café feel. Bon appetite!
